Gulshan Jano (age 32) and her husband are daily wage workers from Alanpur village, Sawai Madhopur district, Rajasthan. Thanks to the recent PMUY drive in the state, with a new LPG connection, she is happy that she and her children do not have to bear the unhealthy smoke anymore. Besides, she finds it easier and faster to cook using the gas cylinder.
However, she was scared and sceptical about keeping a cylinder inside her home. It was then that Ahmed, her 10-year-old son and class-V student at a local school, used the safety poster to teach his mother the Dos and Don’ts of using LPG cylinder. As they say, one is never too old to learn.
