• Stations nominated under ‘Own Your Station’ scheme were delegated to Officers of Moradabad Division – Intensive cleaning was ensured during these inspections at railway stations along with other important railway stations of Moradabad Division
  • Divisional Officers had directly interacted with the passengers at the railway stations, which includes Haridwar, Dehradun, Bareilly, Bijnor, Bulandshahar, Hardoi, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur City etc. and in trains passing through these railway stations of Moradabad Division.
  • Divisional Officers and staffs wore T-shirts and caps which were supplied to them and actively participated in the Swachh Bharat Mission and counseled the passengers for neat and clean environment
  • Interaction with NGOs – Several Charity Institutions, NGOs and Corporates were contacted to participate under the Corporate Social Responsibility for providing / improving the passenger amenities at railway stations of Moradabad Division
  • Help from Social organizations and NGOs were also sought during the drive who had launched a massive Safai Abhiyan at the nominated railway stations of Moradabad Division which includes Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh.
  • Cleanliness efforts have been continuously followed up by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation at Dehradun and Haridwar stations periodically.
  • Awareness through Nukkad Nataks – Nukkad Nataks were organized at several places to bring awareness amongst the rail users regarding cleanliness and safety related issues at railway stations, level crossing gates and in city area. During this, people were also counseled to carefully cross the level crossing.
  • Drive on Littering, Smoking and Catering – A drive on Littering, Smoking and Catering was also launched during this period. Special instructions were issued to ticket checking staffs in this regard
  • Involvement of public representatives – Public representatives were invited for their participation in Shramdaan and Swachchh Bharat Mission.
  • Shramdaan – Divisional Officers of Moradabad Division, HQs office and Railway Boards along with staffs of Commercial department had actively participated in the Shramdaan activity conducted across the Division during this Fortnight along with participation from charity Organisations like Shantikunj (Haridwar). Important stations of Shramdaan were Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Roorkee, Moradabad, Hapur, Amroha, Chandausi, Rampur, Bareilly, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Roza, Aonla etc.
  • Development of amenities at railway stations – Herbal Park and Bio toilet complex are being provided at Rishikesh railway stations through social organizations.
  • Special attention to heritage sites – Building of Dehradun railway station is a world heritage building where exclusive cleaning drive was launched by the staffs on World Heritage Day.
  • Tree plantation at several places: Pots of plants are provided at railway stations and around the Catering stalls for beautification.
  • Cleanliness drive at offices, disposal of old records and sprucing up the passage
